The Dream

My dream in life has been to do what makes me happy and allows me to control my destiny. Even as a young girl I was independent, driven, and organized. Southern Chic Antiques did not form until I was at a point in my life in which I loved my job, but knew that I had reached a professional ceiling and faced a once in a lifetime opportunity to stay at home with my children. After making the decision not to return to work, I immediately had a desire to start a business from a hobby of mine. This hobby bloomed from a combination of my 2009 shabby chic nursery design and the passion I have for finding treasures at flea markets, consignment stores, and antique malls. The pieces not only make the nursery unique, but they are versatile and grow with the child. I get so much enjoyment out of making antiques chic again and giving them multiple purposes throughout the home. Every piece I do has its own character which ironically always seems to match its owner.

Today Southern Chic Antiques sells pieces that are hand painted and distressed but also offers the service for those who have their own treasures in attics, basements, or garages.

I want to thank God for giving me direction, my family and friends for supporting me, and all my customers for making my dream come true!
